Other information

  • Putting up for sale before the start of the new season, a less common VW Scirocco mk2 for someone who likes to tinker. The car was brought from Lithuania last summer. According to the Lithuanian registration, it’s a 1.6 with a manual gearbox, but it has a 1.8 66 kW single-point injection engine swapped in. The clutch, timing belt, various seals, and coolant hoses have also been replaced. Various minor issues have been fixed as well. The car is fully drivable and functional. I also replaced the suspension – now it has like-new MTS coilovers installed. I’m not entirely sure if the car is a factory 16v, but many signs suggest that it is. It has stabilizer bars front and rear. The rear axle is a torsion beam, and the car is also wired for MFA (Multi-Function Display). The body is extremely well preserved for a 40-year-old car and is practically rust-free. The underside, both from below and inside the cabin, is very solid. It also has original 15-inch BBS wheels with practically new tires. The interior and upholstery are also very well preserved. The seats are very tidy, not worn out, and hold their shape nicely. The dashboard hasn’t sagged either, which is common in these cars. It also has a tilt and slide sunroof. The car was probably once someone’s serious project, and there was something bigger under the hood. A Golf 3 rear engine mount bracket has been welded onto the body, and the firewall has been cut. It was likely either a 16v or VR6 at some point. A strut bar has also been welded into the trunk. Unfortunately, the paint job is a two-tone solution, which isn’t the most elegant. The lower part of the car is the original dark green, which is rather rare for this model. It should be the only green one in Estonia. An ideal car for someone who wants to continue the project as is or develop it further. The base is in extremely good condition. The car has been inspected for registration and all paperwork is in order. The new owner will register the car.
