- The suspension was accidentally captured in the raised position in the photo. The mileage is high, but the engine has been replaced with a version that has about 200,000 km on it (this cannot be proven with paperwork!). During the work, a whole bunch of seals and brittle plastic parts were replaced, the timing chain was checked, and just in case, new chain tensioners were installed since it was already disassembled; everything else looked fine. All procedures were carried out using the official factory repair manual, all bolts were tightened to the specified torque values, etc. All fluids and oils have also been changed. The injectors were tested on a bench, all are fine! Brand new Bosch starter, the strongest version. New engine mounts. All brake discs and pads were recently replaced. Wheel alignment done. New windshield. Recently added a trailer hitch. The air conditioning was checked, a small leak repaired, and recharged. I am including light leather care products. Since the replacement, about 9,000 km have been driven with the new engine completely trouble-free. The notorious car tax is not very high either, only 150€ per year, already paid for this year; registration fee is 700€. Additionally, some paint touch-up work has been done on strategic stone chip areas; some definitely require deeper polishing. When replacing, I am only considering a newer car with a station wagon body and a trailer hitch. Or something electric/plug-in hybrid. The only fault that the diagnostics currently showed: The driver’s side mirror heating does not work; for a quick buyer, I will install a new one at my own expense.
